Hi Sebastian, please briefly introduce yourself.
Sebastian:
Hi, I’m Sebastian, 31 years old, and I’ve been working as a consultant at CHECK24 for over five years. Before that, I studied business administration at LMU and TU in Munich, with exciting semesters abroad in San Diego and Jerusalem. I’m originally from North Rhine-Westphalia and a big sports fan—I especially enjoy being in the mountains, whether on foot, by bike, or on skis.
What are your different areas of responsibility as a Management Consultant?
Sebastian:
In my role as a Management Consultant, I work on various projects where we optimize existing comparisons and build new ones. I collaborate closely with our project team, comparison specialists, and AI experts to automate and digitalize processes throughout the entire customer journey. My main focus is on optimizing operational processes, especially after a booking has been completed.
What general or project-specific goals do you have for the future?
Sebastian:
New technological developments will significantly shape the future. Together, we aim to identify, understand, and leverage tomorrow’s technological trends to benefit our customers. A current goal is the fully automated and case-closing processing and answering of customer emails. At the same time, we want to continue meeting our very high quality standards in customer service. Personally, I’m fascinated by the complexity and the multitude of challenges involved, as well as the use of multiple AI models, which make this task an exciting and creative challenge.

Sebastian:
At CHECK24, you are entrusted with significant responsibility right from the start, even as a working student or intern—that’s one of the greatest strengths that challenges and supports us here. At the same time, you always receive valuable support, whether from experienced colleagues or regular feedback and tips from the executives we closely collaborate with. I find the diversity of projects particularly exciting, as they give me deep insights into the company and show the many different approaches to solving problems. This experience has helped me continuously develop, from working student to Senior Management Consultant.
What sets your team apart? How do you experience the collaboration?
Sebastian:
My team stands out for its excellent mix of collegiality and professionalism. We are all very ambitious and driven, and we support each other across projects with feedback and tips. The personal dynamic is also great, which creates the ideal combination for outstanding and goal-oriented collaboration.
And finally, tell us, how do you keep a cool head in stressful situations?
Sebastian:
Experience helps a lot. By now, I know that even the most stressful situations usually pass faster than you think. Otherwise, taking a moment to breathe deeply, enjoying some chocolate, or grabbing some fresh air on one of our rooftop terraces at the office.
