Hello Andreas, introduce yourself briefly: who are you and what is your role at CHECK24?
Andreas:

Hi, I’m Andreas, or Andy to my colleagues, and I’ve been working since April 2019 as a Customer Advisor at CHECK24 in occupational disability insurance.

What did you do before CHECK24?
Andreas:

Before my time at CHECK24, I gathered experience in many different areas. The insurance sector has always interested me, so I decided to work as an independent agency owner (general agency). After seven years of self-employment and the birth of my daughter, I’d had enough of working for myself. I didn’t want to travel anymore, and it was becoming more challenging to retain customers, let alone acquire new ones. I came to appreciate the salaried security employment offers when I applied to CHECK24 as a Customer Advisor.

Why did you choose CHECK24?
Andreas:

I’d already been following CHECK24 for quite some time. Their success and business model fascinated me, and I wanted to become part of it. Comparing all of the quotes, finding the best offer for customers, and advising them is highly motivating. I can finally also focus on working as a Customer Advisor here as our back office deals with all the paperwork and any pending applications, and insurance requests are directly available in the system.

What’s special about being a Customer Advisor for an online company?
Andreas:

We only advise customers by telephone, but this does not impact the quality of our advisory services. That is and was very important to me even when I was self-employed. All Customer Advisors are qualified experts in their area. We use technical aids such as video consultation, CRM systems, intelligent emailing systems, screen sharing, digital signature, etc., to optimally advise every customer. This is possible because almost every renowned insurance company is available for comparison. This gives our customers an optimum overview and genuine added value. Otherwise, there is regular work such as answering emails, recording claims, retrospective insurance, etc.

What does it take to be a Customer Advisor?

To work at CHECK24, you need to be highly customer-focused and have specialist knowledge. I’ve already mentioned that all the Customer Advisors are experts in their field. In addition, you should be communicative, friendly, and above all, hard-working.

What do you value about CHECK24?
Andreas:

Different from working independently, customer interest already exists. That means no cold calling. Every customer that we advise already wants to take out an insurance policy. Our task is to advise customers to find the best offer out of many - for me, that’s real added value.

Regarding CHECK24 as an employer, I appreciate the excellent work atmosphere and working conditions. Although I had flexibility when working independently, I now have great colleagues to add to the mix. A relaxed, family-like team spirit is critical to me.

I look forward to every team event, summer party, or Christmas celebration. They don’t fall short of expectations and are always loads of fun.

I’ve never regretted my decision to swap self-employment for CHECK24, and I recommend working here to all my friends and acquaintances. I’m still pleased here after two years!
