We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Test Automation / QA Engineer (m/w/d) InsurTech for our Office in Munich at CHECK24 Vergleichsportal für Vorsorgeversicherungen GmbH.

Your Qualifications

• Education: Completed education in the IT or technical field or a degree in computer science
• Practical experience: You have initial experience (through internships or student activities, but no more than 2 years in a full-time position) in the quality assurance of web/software projects
• TechStack knowledge: You have experience in JavaScript and are familiar with test automation for web applications on desktop and mobile platforms (e.g. CodeceptJS, Selenium, Webdriver, Appium, etc.)
• Digital mindset: Passion and interest in web development and testing, you are highly engaged to continue learning
• Love for details & complex topics: You have a high level of awareness, enjoy troubleshooting and even with repeated test procedures you notice small deviations immediately. You think things through from start to finish.
• Communication skills: You have a goal-oriented and independent way of working but like to work in a team
• Language skills: You have very good spoken and written knowledge of English and German (C1)

Your Responsibilities

• Manual and Automated Testing: Perform manual and automated testing for desktop and mobile browsers, using the following tools and technologies: JavaScript, codeceptJS, Puppeteer, Playwright, Git, Postman, Mongodb, Docker, Jira, Slack, Confluence and many other
• Agile Environment: Effectively collaborate in our cross-functional team and participate in feature planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Test Planning: Take part in feature planning sessions; design, plan, and execute test plans based on user stories
• Release Support: Ensure high-quality standards for ticket releases; support timely releases under tight deadlines
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects; communicate issues to the team.
• Documentation: Maintain test documentation and provide feedback on test results to stakeholders
