Your Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies in business informatics, data science, mathematics, economics or similar
- Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL pipelines and databases
- Understanding of data quality checks and validation processes
- Hands-on experience with tools like Git, Docker and Kubernetes and cloud services (like AWS / Azure)
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, experience working on Tableau Prep and Tableau is a big plus
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG development and Airflow ecosystem management
- Familiarity with migrating workflows from one tool to another is a plus
- You are business fluent in English and/or in German
Your Responsibilities
- Build a strong understanding around the existing data sources and data pipelines (primary tools: MySQL, Tableau Prep)
- Identify optimization opportunities, development of implementation plan and execution
- Understand the data requirements Analytics/Controlling/Data Science teams and develop solutions to fetch this data efficiently
- Establish ways to monitor data quality and put in place checks to detect any deviation
- Design, configure, and maintain Apache Airflow environments. Develop, optimize and maintain Airflow DAGs
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data pipelines, and workflows for any future reference and onboarding requirements
- Stay updated with the advancements in the field of Data Engineering and determine their application to enhance our capabilities
