We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a very good understanding of what software development (Dev) and software operation (Ops) are all about (processes, best practices, tooling, collaboration mentality), to work closely with the development teams in order to maintain and improve the software infrastructure. You will make our CD platform state of the art, as well as enhancing our monitoring/logging/alerting systems to help automate and enable self-serviced IT teams. As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a superb technology team using the latest open source technology to support our highly successful tech-enabled business.
Build up a state-of-the-art Kubernetes/Docker-based self-service runtime platform, covering all aspects including build, deploy, scaling, and monitoring/alerting/logging.
Modernize the existing continuous delivery infrastructure to better support the development teams and enable our future vision (Git, Jenkins)
Bring DevOps culture and mindset into the development teams, through knowledge sharing, trainings, coaching and your passion for it
Build up state-of-the-art monitoring, alerting, logging and metrics systems - enabling full application systems transparency both for the business and IT
Support the development teams and business in getting the system insights they need in a hands-on supportive manner
Unrivalled expertise across the DevOps stack (Development experience with Python/Java/Go/similar language, Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Capistrano, Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery, Containerization, Agile, Automation and testing etc.)
Either a systems engineering or software engineering background (or both, if you think you're up for it!), preferably with some experience of Java frameworks such as Spring.
Completed degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
Practical Kubernetes/Docker experience is a must
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CoCD, etc. and supporting CD tooling such as Sonar and Nexus
Hands on experience in setting up and maintaining CD pipelines Pluses:
Experience in modern logging/alerting/monitoring/metrics stacks such as ELK, Grafana Prometheus
Experience with system configuration automation utilizing Ansible or similar
