Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) (Loans)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) with an excellent understanding of what software development (Dev) and software operation (Ops) are all about (processes, best practices, tooling, collaboration mentality), to work closely with the development teams in order to maintain and improve the software infrastructure. You will make our CD platform state of the art, as well as enhancing our monitoring/logging/alerting systems to help automate and enable self-serviced IT teams. As a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d), you will join a superb technology team using the latest open source technology to support our highly successful tech-enabled business.

Your responsibilities

  • Build up a state-of-the-art Kubernetes/Docker-based self-service runtime platform, covering all aspects including build, deployment, scaling, and monitoring/alerting/logging
  • Modernize the existing continuous delivery infrastructure to better support the development teams and enable our future vision (Git, Jenkins)
  • Bring DevOps culture and mindset into the development teams, through knowledge sharing, trainings, coaching and your passion for it
  • Build up state-of-the-art monitoring, alerting, logging and metrics systems - enabling full application systems transparency for both business and IT
  • Support development teams and business in getting the system insights they need in a hands-on supportive manner

Your qualifications

  • Excellent Linux administration skills, including administrating firewalls, e.g. Sophos and load balancers such as Nginx and HAProxy
  • You are experienced in network administration and working with physical infrastructure
  • Fluent in writing and using scripts with bash, python, golang or perl
  • You have experience with automated orchestration technologies such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
  • You have worked with Kubernetes in Docker hosted on premise
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and supporting CD tooling such as Sonar and Nexus
  • You have experience with modern logging/alerting/monitoring/metrics stacks such as check_mk, Grafana, Prometheus and Graylog
  • Professional fluency in English - Good knowledge of German is a plus
